First Observation - brand new Fathers

OK, so I had a random thought the other day that I would like to start a blog. I mean, it seems everyone is doing it, so why shouldn't I? (and no this does not apply if someone wants me to jump off a roof, Mom in case you are reading this)...I have things I would like to say, and who better to say them to then everyone in cyberspace! Do I really care if anyone reads this? Not really. It is just for me to ramble on about some of the random things I have observed over the course of time. You know, "Things that make you say, hmmm"...(OK, I have already dated myself.)

So, let me start by talking about a recent observation as a new father of a now 12-week old. Before she was born, my wonderful wife signed us up for every single pre-birth class available. And I noticed in my 30+ hours of these classes two things which I will share with the men who have not yet experienced this for themselves: 1. Every man has a glazed over look on their face during these classes, even though we are trying our best to concentrate because we feel we have to soak up everything we hear so we can be the best dad possible. And when their wife is not looking, all in the classroom are secretly wishing we were home watching ESPN. 2. We never use or remember anything from these classes.

So, new dads. Sorry to tell you, but you still have to go, just know you are "investing" 30+ hours of your life to keep "mama" happy!

That is all for now...
